Kansas Autism Conference at Johnson County Community College
Beyond the Diagnosis: Autism Across the Life Span will be presented by Johnson County Community College (JCCC) and KU’s Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training (K-CART) on Friday & Saturday October 18 and 19, 2013 at Johnson County Community College's Regnier Center at 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS.
The two-day conference is designed for professionals and families who have been touched by autism. It will be presented in several sessions and workshops and will address the needs of families, rehabilitation professionals, service providers and educators.
Program subjects include:
- Behavioral Supports/Social Skills
- Early Childhood
- Employment
- Community Living
- Transition
- Research and Information
Sessions will be suitable for anyone working with or caring for toddlers, school-age children, teenagers or adults with ASD.
Registration fees are as follows:
Student Registration
$30 for one or both days; plus $20 for optional Certificate of Attendance; registration fee includes lunch
Individual Registration
$90 for one or both days; plus $20 for optional Certificate of Attendance; registration fee includes lunch
Professional Registration with CEUs
Professional Registration with CE Contact Hours $145 for Friday only (6.3 contact hours for Nurses and Social Workers); $90 for Saturday only (3.9 contact hours); $235 for Friday and Saturday; registration fee includes lunch.
Earn up to 10.2 contact hours for full two-day participation.
