2012 Easter Bunnies, Egg Hunts, and Springtime Activities

Looking for some fun this spring that include the Easter bunny?  Are you wondering where you can catch the Easter bunny this weekend? Well look no further!  We've put together a comprehensive guide for you of all things happening this upcoming Easter season.  Hope you get to get out and have some spring fun!


The Easter Bunny At Crown Center

The Easter Bunny greets children at Crown Center. A professional photographer will be taking pictures for a fee and visitors are welcome to bring their cameras. Should you wish to purchase a photo, prices are as follows:

One 3x5 photo, $8

One 5x7 photo, $12
Additional 5x7 photos, $8

Spring Photos with The Easter Bunny at Oak Park Mall

Time:  10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Monday through Saturday) & 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Sunday)

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny & Egg Hunt at Powell Gardens

Spend a delightful morning at Powell Gardens! Start the day with a Chris Cakes' pancake breakfast, meet the Easter Bunny and join an exciting Easter egg hunt on the Gardens' rolling lawn. Breakfast includes pancakes served Chris Cakes' style, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee. The Easter egg hunt, which starts at 11 a.m., is for kids ages 10 and younger.

The price for breakfast, including Garden admission, is $16/adults or $9/members. The price for children, including breakfast, admission and the Easter egg hunt, is $11.25/non-members and $9.25/members. Reservations are required for breakfast: 816.697.2600 x209.

April 7, 2012
Children ages 2 - 10 years, accompanied by a parent or guardian will love this annual egg hunt.  Grandview children have been hunting eggs for 36 years!  The Easter Bunny hops into town to lead the hunt for treats and goodies for all.  The hunt begins promptly at 10:30 am.  (Remember to bring your Easter basket.)  This is a FREE event.

Grandview Easter Egg Hunt

April 7, 2012 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Children ages 2 - 10 years, accompanied by a parent or guardian will love this annual egg hunt.
Grandview children have been hunting eggs in Grandview for over 35 years!  The Easter Bunny hops into town to lead the hunt for treats and a photo opportunity with your child. Kids be sure to remember your baskets, and parents bring your cameras to capture the memories! Held at Meadowmere Park.  FREE event!

Ollie’s Egg Hunt at Paradise Park
Paradise Park, Kansas City’s Premier Family Destination, will celebrate the Spring season by hosting “Ollie’s Egg Hunt”, featuring Paradise Park’s mascot Ollie the Otter.


All Paradise Park guests with a paid admission to the children’s edutainment center on Saturday, March 31 & April 7, can hunt for eggs with Ollie the Otter in the Outdoor Adventure Play Garden. The egg hunts take place at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and the day will be filled with games and prizes.

Bunny Hop

April 7, 2012 - 9:45 a.m. – 12 noon - Lots of people can say they have met the Easter Bunny, but how many people can say they were in a parade with the Easter Bunny?  Saturday, April 3rd, Downtown Lee's Summit Main Street will be hosting a Bunny Hop!  Families are encouraged to meet at the Lee’s Summit City Hall Plaza, 220 SE Green Street, starting at 9:45 a.m. At 10 a.m. the Easter Bunny will lead everyone in a parade up Third Street to Howard Station Park. Prizes will be given to those who decorate their baskets! Just go to Howard Station Park directly after the parade. Also after the parade, kids can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny or visit Downtown stores to receive free candy until noon.

Kansas City Easter Parade

April 7, 2012 - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The community is invited to participate in the beloved Kansas City Easter Parade. This free community event features the Easter Bunny, giveaways, free family fun, local dignitaries as well as a best dressed contest for the whole family.

Noon – parade award ceremony and Mr. Stinky Feet concert at Town Square

32nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Liberty
March 31, 2012 11 a.m. to 12 noon
The Liberty Parks and Recreation Department is once again partnering with Liberty Super Target for the community's Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will visit Stocksdale Park to hide thousands of Easter Eggs! This event is open to boys and girls age 0 - 8 years. Everyone should meet at the park prior to 11:00 a.m.  Bring your camera for a photo with the Easter Bunny and don't forget your basket!

In an effort to help others in the community, the Parks and Recreation Department will be collecting non-perishable items to benefit the "In As Much Ministries" food pantry. Non-perishable items are encouraged, but not required.

19th Annual Leawood City Park Easter Eggstravaganza
April 1, 2012 - 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Leawood Parks and Recreation Department and the National Bank Of Kansas City are proud to sponsor the 19th Annual “Eggstravaganza” Egg Hunt at Leawood City Park (10601 Lee Blvd.) on Sunday, April 1st.

Lunch and activities will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. At 12:30 p.m. the egg hunt will begin. Children will fill their baskets with colorful plastic eggs loaded with goodies. The event is “free” for all participants with plenty of eggs for everyone! Activities for children will include a balloon artist, face painter and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The Leawood Kiwanis Club will be serving a hot dog lunch at the Lion’s Shelter (hot dog $2, chips $1, and drink $1).  Please call (913) 339-6700 ext. 154 for more information.
