Good luck & happy summer reading!
I found a book to use in helping my daughter learn NOT to color on walls... I think it is a neat book. AND, when we lose our crayons for a day here, I bring out this book to read too.
A Day With NO CRAYONS , By Elizabeth Rusch
When the little girl loses her crayons for a day (for doing what she ought not) she discovers that you can find and create with colors all around you in the world. In the end she creates a new kind of masterpiece.

We love to read before nap time to help calm down. My dd also loves to just play with her books and look at them for a long time. We have several other scholastic books and they are great! We love them and would love to have these!

After a long day at work, I love just sitting in the rocking chair with my son and reading to them. It makes all the stresses of the day just melt away. It's great bonding time for both of us!

I especially like now that D can read books to me! It really makes it worth all those times reading Go Dog Go when he was little.

We would LOVE to have new books added to our book collection! My sons are 16 months, and very active. Reading is the only activity that can keep them contained for more than 1 minute! It would be great to have new books to read together.

My first grandchild is on the way and these books would be a great beginning for his/her library. The mom-to-be would approve; she's a librarian!

It'll be nice when I'll be able to sit with my baby and read to him. He's 8 months old now and won't sit still for a minute plus he grabs everything to put in his mouth. I want him to appreciate books and reading as much as I do.

I even read to my son when he had to stay in the NICU. He's 2 now and he even loves to read to us! I hope that his love of reading continues throughout his life. It's so important.

DS and I read together at several different times throughout the day. DH and I started reading to him while I was pregnant and it hasn't stopped...and he's now 2. I will find him randomly curled up in his chair "reading" aloud to himself...and this lets me know that we planted some great seeds!! :)

For keeping the reading going... I love to choose a theme with my boys. We then read everything we can find on that theme. This increases the chance for us to hit fiction, non and a variety of reading levels and styles. When our baby was born in February, we were on a "BABY" theme. My oldest is now able to read and there are few things that make me more proud than for him to volintarily read stories to the other boys!

Did anyone read to their unborn child? I feel silly just thinking about reading aloud when I'm not even sure the baby can hear me at 22 weeks.
